FINDING AND ACCEPTING YOURSELF

Do you find that you lack in self-confidence? Have your insecurities started to take a toll on your social life? Do you tend to worry how people will perceive you? Are you holding back the REAL you?

If you answered YES to any or all of the above, it might be time for you to figure out what it is that is blocking you from accepting and loving who you are.  We are all different, yet we often try to conform to what and who we think others want us to be.  Trying to alter ourselves can lead to things like depression and self-hate.  The people I help through this process often report the following in the beginning...

  • Anxiety
  • Low Self-Esteem
  • Introversion
  • Fear of Judgement
  • Shyness

I want you to know that you are perfect just the way you are.  All the qualities that you may believe or have been told are faults are a part of you and are beautiful.  By gaining an understanding and appreciation of who you are, you will then be able to even see that these qualities are actually STRENGTHS.  Once you are able to get beyond what is blocking your growth you will finally be able to let go and JUST BE YOU!  It is always my goal that by the end of counseling you are able to say to yourself...

  • "I am exactly who I AM meant to be"
  • "I am BEAUTIFUL"
  • "I am PROUD of who I have become."
  • "I finally feel at PEACE."
  • "I fully and truly LOVE and ACCEPT myself!"
